WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE APPLYING FOR SHORT-STUDY VISA

VISA APPLICATION


LCTD can provide documentary evidence to support visa application of delegates from overseas. However, only delegates who have made full payments of course fees can request for course enrolment letter to support their visa applications at the British Embassy / High Commission.


The following are some suggestion regarding documents you may require to make application for short-term study visa:


  • Passport or travel document, valid for at least 6 months (the passport must have at least one clear page for the visa)
  • Two recent passport-sized colour photographs with a white background
  • Correct application form fully completed in English
  • Visa support letter from LCTD
  • Letter of employment
  • Six months itemised bank statements/evidence of assets
  • Letter from your sponsor (employer), confirming they are paying for the course
  • Evidence of accommodation in London (LCTD provides accommodation letter for ONLY resident delegate)
  • Relevant diplomas or educational certificates that you have achieved (it is helpful to submit mark sheets/passing certificates)
  • Original IELTS/TOEFL Certificate, or other evidence of your ability to speak English

ACCOMONDATION


LCTD recommends that delegates make reservations and proper arrangement of where they intend to stay while in the UK. The hotel booking confirmation is very important as it is a requirement for most short-term study visa applicants. All resident delegates who have make full payment of course and accommodation fee will have confirmed accommodation letter issues to them as a supporting evidence for their visa application.  Click here to request for your supporting documents.


Delegates attending the executive programmes will have confirmed accommodation booked in advance and the prices are included in the fees. There are different types of accommodation units, which are available for our participants; these include hotel accommodation as well as shares accommodation in apartments.


Non-resident delegates are advice to make proper accommodation arrangement during their stay in the UK. Note that LCTD cannot provide you any supporting evidence about your accommodation arrangement if you are a non-resident delegate. Non-resident delegate are fully responsible for the cost of their stay while in the UK and all outstanding payments must be settled before departure.


Considering the location of our training venue, LCTD have an onsite accommodation. Alternative, if you wish to stay in a nearby location; you can find good rating and affordable hotels around. Airport Pick-up


LCTD can arrange for a taxi to pick you up at the airport upon your arrival. It is important to note that this service is available only on one-way arrangements. We have flexible option where delegates choose either to be picked up from the airport before the commencement of course or taken back to the airport at the end of the training.


While we understand that some delegate may have excess luggage, we can only carry two (2) pieces of checked luggage, and it is expected that the luggage complies with the standard airline carriage dimensions. Contact us directly for your airport pick up arrangement.
